TALLADEGA NEIGHBORHOOD

Race track doesn't open until tomorrow so I thought I'd give you a tour of the neighborhood, below is an  picture of the track, notice the airport, that's Talladega  Airport, right next to the track, that's where the big dogs fly into with there jets and helicopters. In the center of the picture notice the buildings with the metal roofs, that's ATAP INC, more on that later

Checked in to camp ground right outside track, lady at check in counter said (in the sweetest Southern drawl) "now sir i need to warn you about something, if you want your kids asleep by 8:00pm, or if you want to read your bible in peace a quite before you go to bed, you might want to go somewhere else"  Told her I left both my kids and bible at home.

Dwayne and I had breakfast this morning with Willie T Graham, eggs, sausage, pancakes, and the best bloody mary's this side of the Mississippi, Willie doesn't have to put his 'game face' on until about 9:00am.

   

SECRET SPONSERSHIP MONEY

There are about 10 drivers who have Coca-Cola as 'associate' sponsors on their cars. Bet you didn't know that each time one of those drivers is interviewed while holding a coke he earns $10,000. Dr. Jerry Punch on ESPN is ready to interview driver Elliiot Sadler but they had to wait for a staff member to hand him a coke.
